EMS Ferrite Switching Circulator

The First Circuit I Built in my RF Career for UCAR

In order to test and characterize the performance of proprietary and rare EMS Ferrite switching circulators, a custom circuit to provide voltage and switching signal needed to be applied to singular and grouped driver systems. Acting more or less as a breakout PCB that routed and buffered 5, 28, and 50 volts along with a 2KHz pulsed signal, this system is a stretch to call RF, but in working with the test systems that it drove and measured I was able to get hands on experience with the RF EE world. Initially I simply wanted to make microcontroller embedded systems. I do miss hand soldering such simple designs however. Additional photos below…
